A progressive Fibre and Communications Technology company are looking to add a Sales Manager to the team. They are one of the few companies in the north of England who design, install, maintain and bill full fibre networks.

They need a motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to lead the domestic sales department and are looking to build up a sales team around you. The successful candidate will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires effectively.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading an experienced team of Sales Associates who they are in the process of recruiting. This is a long-term project which includes helping shape the team as a whole and the processes they use.

There is a lot to learn in this role so a keen willingness to learn new things is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
  • Monitor the programme of fibre build and work out a strategy to maximise sales opportunities
  • Up sell to current customers
  • Work with the marking team and measure the results of marketing campaigns. Converting leads in to customers.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to capture key demographics
  • Provide daily report of sales success and communicate VOC data to superiors
  • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales program accordingly
  • Monitor the programme on fibre build across all domestic sales channels and pinpoint ways to penetrate new markets
  • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals
  • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
  • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to capture key demographics
  • Provide daily report of field sales success and communicate data/results
  • Educated to a degree level
  • B2B and B2C sales experience
  • 3+ years in leadership sales position
  • Track record of superior performance metrics
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong decision-making abilities
  • Able to travel if required
  • Familiarity with CRM software
